The Region of Murcia

The Region of Murcia has many activities to offer the holiday maker from scuba diving in Puerto de Mazarron to deep sea fishing, sailing, horse riding, quad biking, hiking in the Sierra Espuna Mountains, plus numerous golf courses, making the area very popular not only with families but golfers alike.

Mazarron and Puerto de Mazarron are small towns, within a 10 minute drive of the Urbanizacion Camposol, where there is a weekly market for fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, which are used in many of the local tapas bars in the new Marina in Puerto de Mazarron. There is a huge market in Mazarron on Sundays, where they sell everything including hand made kitchen sinks.

Within the Urbanizacion itself, there are numerous restaurants, including an Indian, Chinese, with a choice of restaurants serving International Cuisine. Golf Club with restaurant bar, serving local spanish dishes, and local beers and wines.Other amenities include, doctors, dentists, vets, hairdressers, and a pub.

There are many UK based flight operators who serve the region, such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, Bmibaby, with the two main airports being Alicante (1hr 15 mins) and Murcia San Javier ( 45 mins) from the Urbanizacion.

A hire car is recommended for this area, as there is so much to see & do,with the new water park/zoo in Murcia, & Cartegena with its historicial buildings, plus with approximately 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, and temperatures of 35c during the day in summer & 15-20c during the winter months, there is always somewhere for you & your family to visit in the Murcia Region.

Zante (Zakynthos)

Zante, a beautiful green island surrounded by the clear blue waters of the the Ionian Sea.

Zante has a reputation as being the sunniest island in the Mediterranean. Swim at the wide sandy beaches in the company of sea turtles, go snorkelling or scuba diving between rocks and in underwater caves. Perhaps try sailing or surfing. On land, walking and hiking in the mountains. Don't forget to take your camera as the views are incredible.

Zante (its total size is 406 square km) has much more to offer so let yourself be swept away by the rhythms of island life and the extremely hospitable islanders.
